2) First conversation (45 min.)

If I evaluate that I can help you, you book 'The First Conversation'. 

Before the conversation: 
You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire. So that I can get to know you and your challenges and pains better.

During the conversation:
- We talk more about you and your pain.
- How I can help you and recommendations for sessions.

3) 4 Session Package

This is where the magic happens! 

Each session is between 1.5 hours and 2 hours depending on your process and what you need.

A session is divided into: 
1) Talking about how you have been since the last time.
2) The somatic practice 
3) Closing, you & I share our experiences. 

How does online sessions work?

 4) Between sessions 

After each session I will check up on you, so you don't feel alone in your integration and process.

It is between sessions that you will feel the change in your daily life.

You will get small tasks from me between sessions.

I am also available if you need my support or emergency between sessions. 

5) Closing Conversation (55 min.)

We talk about your process and your development.
We also talk about potential next steps.

How does an online session work?

My sensitivity enables me to connect with you to feel your pain and physical symptoms on myself, which enables me to feel into what you need at any given moment.

During the session I will be guiding you through somatic practices depending on your situation and what I feel that your body is longing for to release your pain. 

It can be breathing, guided meditations or where to put pressure on your body. 


Before your session please ensure the following:

  • You have a stable internet connection.

  • You have a comfortable space where you can lie down.

  • Your camera is positioned so I can see all of you. 

  • You will not be disturbed for the entire duration of the session.

  • Have two small balls or limes that you might use to put pressure on your body. 
  • Have water, tissues, oil essence and dark chocolate next to you. 
  • You have access to a speaker or your computer's audio to play music. I will sent you a  link to a Spotify playlist.

Please make sure you have an active Spotify subscription (you can sign up for one free month if you don’t currently have a subscription) to avoid commercials. 

 

What to expect during the session:

1) We start with touching base, where you tell me about your pain and how you feel.

2) I connect with you and attuning to your body to feel into what is alive for you & how to support you the best way possible. 

3) I will invite and guide you to: 

  • Start your music

  • Lie down

  • Take a few deep grounding breaths

  • Check in with yourself and tune into the sensations of your body

  • This is your sacred time to feel, deepen and journey into your own inner discoveries.

  • Listen to my guidance 

 

After the somatic part of the session: 

  • I will gently guide you back into the present moment.  
  • I will give you some time to integrate and tune into your experience. 
  • We both share anything that we wish to express before closing the container together in a grounded and intentional way.
  • I guide you how to integrate & what to pay attention to until the next time.

What is TVM? 

TVM is the Tripal Vagal Method (TVM) is a somatic therapy developed in the USA to regulate your nervous system reduce your pain, trauma, anxiety and stress etc. stored in your nervous system.

It is an effective an effective bottom-up method that aims to heal trauma by releasing it from the body through pressure while increasing vagal tone and restore a feeling of safety in the body. 

Online I guide you how to do it on yourself through a collaboration between you and me. 

I help regulate your nervous system, reduce your pain and physical symptoms, promote security and reconnect with your body and yourself.

It is not body therapy as you might know it.
My body based approach is a collaboration between you and me.

This means that I will be guiding you to feel into your body, support you in your process in releasing the imbalances that may be behind your pain and discomfort in combination with my intuition and your feedback to me. 


Together, we work with bodily exercises and regulation of the nervous system, so you can achieve a deeper connection to yourself and find lasting relief from your physical symptoms. Of course, it will be tailored to you and your challenges, so you can Lighten Up.

Why a body based approach? 


Because the body and mind are connected. I have experienced that the most effective way to reduce pain, deal with discomfort and reconnect with myself has been through a holistic combination of a body based approach. It has been crucial in my own healing chronic pain, stress, burnout and anxiety as a sensitive soul with ADHD and high sensitivity. 


Chronic pain is often linked to trauma, emotional blockages, and a nervous system is survival. When we work with the body we can release the things that is causing you pain. 

If you have ADHD or is higly sensitive, you probably know about overthinking, worries and the feeling of not being properly connected to yourself. Talk therapy alone cannot always help release it because your traumas and experiences are stored in the body.

Even if you try to change your thoughts, the body will still keep the score of your experiences affecting how you feel, think and act. It is when we work on the body that the magic happens and profound changes occur. When the body lets go of old traumas and emotional blockages, your pain releases, though patterns change and you will feel lighter. 

Talking is still important as it helps us both to understand your challenges and what you need in the sessions. This is why you have to book the 'First converstation' before starting the body work with me. In this way I'm sure to have enough information about you to support you the  best way possible in the following sessions.

Hi!
I'm Katrine

I have lived most of my life in pain. Both emotional and physical pain.
For many years, I have had chronic pain in my chest, neck, right hand, hips and legs. I could't find any therapy or medical support that could help me reduce my pain. 
So I searched for explanations for my pain. It was when I found out about the body-mind connection that my life changed.

Through research, searching and finding somatic practices that worked for me, I found my own technique to heal chronic pain. 
My own pain healing journey made me passionate about the body and mind, which is why I started MANAKAYA BALANCE, meaning MindBody Balance. 

I help you heal your pain too. I'm constantly developing, learning and educating myself to help more people and to improve my skills.
