Talk & Body Therapy
A package of 6 sessions + Evaluation
Lighten Up Package - tailored to your pain.
You will get help and tools to understand, reduce and get to know your physical symptoms. Takes place either physically or online.
Each session lasts 1.5 hours and involves:
- Cognitive Talk Therapy.
- Body therapy with Tripal Vagal Method (TVM)/ and or Pain coaching, depending on your situation.
- Assignments between sessions.
- Access to material and meditations.
- Supportive community.
- Support and emergency help between sessions.

1) Free Consultation (20 min.)
Where we get to know each other to find out if we are a match.
The first step towards less physical symptoms and more balance.

2) Filling out the questionnaire
If I assess that I can help you, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire. So that I can get to know you and your challenges and pains better. Based on your answers, we have the first conversation-->

3) First Conversation
(60 min.)
Your answers in the questionnaire create the basis for our conversation. I will ask more about you, based on your answers.
Finally, I come with my professional recommendation for your course.
4) Package x 6 sessions
(1,5 hours)
A combination of online conversation and body therapy. Each session is 1.5 hours. About 30 minutes of conversation and 1 hour of body therapy.

5) Between sessions
This is where you feel the change. Along the way, you will learn to manage your physical symptoms, through exercises etc.
You'll also have access to my support, so you do not feel alone in the process.

5) Closing Conversation (60 min.)
An hour's summary of your process and your development. We also talk about potential next steps. We celebrate you!

Body Therapy
I offer a combination of the body therapy Tripal Vagal Method (TVM) and Body-focused Coaching, depending on your pain and situation.
TVM is an effective form of body therapy that helps reduce pain, anxiety and stress etc., which are stored in your nervous system. Through pressure on the body, you can release trauma and emotional blockages that cause pain, unrest, tension and fatigue in the body.
It is a collaboration between you and me, where I also guide you in pain management etc., to create the security and support you need to release the pain.
I help regulate your nervous system, reduce your pain and physical symptoms, promote security and reconnect with your body and yourself.

Talk Therapy
It is not talk therapy as you may know it. It is with a body-focused approach. This means that it is less talking with more focus on feeling into your body, processing and releasing the imbalances that may be behind your pain and discomfort.
Together, we work with bodily exercises and regulation of the nervous system, so you can achieve a deeper connection to yourself and find lasting relief from your physical symptoms. Of course, it will be tailored to you and your challenges, so you can Lighten Up.
Each session will start with a conversation about how you feel, while the other part will be body therapy - tailored to your pain and discomfort.

Why a combination of talk and body therapy?
Because the body and mind are connected. I have experienced that the most effective way to reduce pain, deal with discomfort and reconnect with myself has been through a holistic combination of body therapy and talk therapy. It has been crucial in my own healing process with pain, ADHD, special sensitivity and C-PTSD.
A holistic approach means that I see the WHOLE of you.
Your pain is often linked to trauma, emotional blockages, and imbalances in the body. When we work with the whole – both physically and mentally – we create the biggest changes.
If you have ADHD, are particularly sensitive or have C-PTSD, you probably know about overthinking, worries and the feeling of not being properly connected to yourself. Talk therapy alone cannot always help release it because your traumas and experiences are stored in the body.
Even if you try to change your thoughts, the body will still keep the score of your experiences affecting how you feel, think and act.
Talk therapy is still an important part of the process. Putting your challenges into words, understanding your pain, and changing perspectives makes a big difference. But it is only when we also release it in the body that the profound changes occur. When the body lets go of old traumas and emotional blockages, your thought patterns change automatically – because your body no longer sends the same alarm signals to the brain.
You will not only feel lighter you will also feel a stronger connection to yourself.

I am Katrine
I have lived most of my life in pain. Both emotional and physical pain.
For many years, I have had chronic pain in my chest, neck, right hand, hips and legs. I am late-dignosticated with AD(H)D, I am a Hyper Sensitive Person (HSP) and I have overcome my C-PTSD, through a mixture of body and talk therapy.
It has helped me understand that my pain was the body's way of trying to get my attention. Supressing myself and my own needs let to my pain, stress, anxiety and depression. When I learned to listen to my pain, it disappeared and that my life changed. My own pain healing journey made me passionate about the body and mind, which is why I started MANAKAYA BALANCE.
